You can pray, you can serve, you can give.
Pray.
To join our prayer team simply send us an email- or subscribe to the director’s blog. We’ll email you weekly updates with the first option; you’ll get updates every time something changes online with the other.
Serve.
You can serve in many areas, as well:
- Mentor someone as they reenter society.
- Become a tutor- and help someone earn their GED.
- Have your Sunday School class or Small Group at church adopt one of our homes & visit the residents (male or female) once a week.
- Allow us to speak at your church- or show one of our videos there.
- Join us at Linn Park, Park Place, or any of the other unique ministry venues. All details are online. See the calendar.
Give.
You can give, too:
- $25 a month (the cost of an Internet connection), will provide the education materials for one resident- for the duration of their time with us.
- $50 a month (the amount many routinely spend at coffee shops over a 30-day period) will feed a resident 3 meals a day for a month.
- $75 a month (the cost of the average power bill in Alabama) will provide the staffing needed to help teach, counsel, shepherd, advocate, and attend the medical needs of one resident for that month.
The truth is we need money and “stuff”- the stuff that most of us take for granted (towels, sheets, toiletries). Note: we have a page on this site set up to give online through PayPal.
- Many of our residents come to us with nothing more than a backpack or grocery bag of belongings when they start their life anew. They can use your gently used clothes, sheets, and towels.
- We are always in need of hygiene and toiletries.
- We give away diapers and other necessities at outdoor ministry venues, as well.
- And, when our residents move to permanent housing, they always need the very things you use to furnish your own home.
- Anything you use, they can use. Consider us the next time you have a garage sale or clean out the closets. We don’t sell; we recycle it all, passing it to another owner / user.
You can give through secure access on this website. Or, you can mail to The Village, c/o our offices.
